Floating

Floating, floatation, float therapy… whatever you choose to call it, it is quite simply the most incredible means of stress relief and relaxation available. The 25cm of super-saturated salt solution creates an environment similar to the Dead Sea which enables the individual to float effortlessly on the surface. As the water is heated to skin temperature it is virtually impossible to distinguish between parts of the body that are in contact with the water and those that aren’t, thus creating the illusion of floating in air.

Mind, Body and Soul Therapy Centre, West Malvern, Worcestershire WR14 Nestled in the Malvern hillside, Mind, Body and Soul offers a wide range of therapies and treatments for everybody. We understand that time for many people is a luxury, and for that reason, the aim of the centre is to provide calming surroundings where you can relax, unwind and benefit from the range of facilities available. The centre incorporates professionally qualified therapists from many different fields working together ‘under one roof’. We appreciate that everybody is individual and therefore our treatments will cater to your unique needs. Our team is committed to providing the highest standard of service available professionally and confidentially.

The Tank and how it works

Unless you are an astronaut, this is the only situation you will encounter where your body is free from the forces of gravity. Every single muscle in the body is allowed to relax. With ear plugs in and, if you wish, the tank’s interior lights off, the quietness and the darkness allow the mind to drift into the deepest state of relaxation possible. This in turn balances the brain: that is, reduces the activity in the left (logical) side of the brain and increases activity in the right (creative) side. For the first time, both sides of your brain are in total harmony. When you consider that we normally only use 11% of our total brain power, you can see that a session in the tank enables us to tap into a huge, previously unavailable source of creativity, imagination, self-visualisation and problem solving.

Other Services Offered: Massage, infrared sauna, colonic hydrotherapy, hypnotherapy, reflexology, hopi-ear candling, kinesiology, full range of beauty treatments
